The Moraga Park Foundation has a mission to enhance recreational, cultural, and education opportunities, to create a sense of community, and to improve the park facilities in Moraga, California.
In 2009, the Foundation will provide funding for ten bands for the Summer Concert Series, which is held at the Commons, and where the board members volunteer to staff the concession stand. Each year favorite musicians return to entertain the community. Then a few new groups are added, to provide a variety of family entertainment during the summer. MPF park improvement projects for 2009 will focus on the concert venue and children's playground. There will be fundraising efforts to cover the cost of renovating the Moraga Commons band shell building. The kitchen and concession are will be modernized. The Foundation is evaluating other improvements to Moraga's parks.
Sponsors are sent information each year about the upcoming summer events. Your participation is welcome in all aspects of MPF projects. Volunteer opportunities include working at the summer concerts and other events at the Commons. Sponsorship forms are available at the Hacienda or online.
